Braille code is interpreted through six dot combinations from left to right and line for line, and so meaning is formed. Here, braille dots are connected by ink to form an intricate abstract visual of lines that unfold as the braille code continues. There is thus a link formed between the braille code that can only be deciphered through touch and the visual code that can only be experienced by the seeing person. Each braille light is unique - as each piece of braille text will form a different visual code. With this visual interconnection and complexity, the work refers to the subtext implicit within communication, intertextuality and the variety of interpretations shaped by our unique experiences.
